Are you in the 82 percent?

“I still have a little impostor syndrome… It doesn’t go away, that feeling that you shouldn’t take me that seriously. What do I know? I share that with you because we all have doubts in our abilities, about our power and what that power is.” ~ Michelle Obama

Have you ever felt like a fraud, that you’re not qualified for the job, even though you have achieved success or trained well for the position?

You are not alone. Up to 82 percent of us experience “imposter syndrome” at some point in our lives, according to the American Psychological Association.

That feeling of “not being enough” or scared creeps up on us often as we elevate our lives, such as when we get a promotion. Sometimes, these uncomfortable feelings of stepping out of our comfort zone will cause us to sabotage our very success, as noted in the book, The Big Leap, by Gay Hendricks, which I frequently share with clients.

A lack of worthiness is often at the root cause of feeling like an imposter.

In this “On Your Mind” podcast segment, created specifically for Mental Health Awareness Month, I dive deep into sharing with Dr. Timothy Hayes, other issues related to lack of worthiness, and leading-edge approaches to healing them.

You will get a comprehensive inside look at my proprietary, “A Journey to the Heart of Worthiness” platform, created 12 years ago and delivered globally over these past four years.

Make some time for you (you’re worth it), to relax and take in nearly a full hour of tools and techniques for building a stronger foundation of worthiness.

1) I have three openings to coach clients 1:1 this summer in building a stronger foundation of worthiness, from which you can flourish in all areas of your life. Being lovingly and compassionately witnessed is key to integrating worthiness.

For clients who have worked with me previously, I offer a unique, advanced follow-on program to my worthiness platform, using the latest in energy healing tools and other techniques to heal more deeply and move forward in expansive ways.

2) I am frequently hired to teach my signature presentation, “A Journey to the Heart of Worthiness,” at many leadership retreats and other programs that benefit employee well-being. I will be coming to Boston this fall if you know of anyone in the area who would like to schedule a presentation, or a half- or full-day workshop.

Here is some feedback from my workshops, where I also used vision boards based on neuroscience principles, to guide participants in creating anew:

“This was so fun, and I loved the 8-minute visualization on worthiness that you led. Instant feelings of peace and happiness. I’m so excited for my team to have our vision board so we can visualize our collaborative strategies to achieve growth.”~ Sara Carlson, Mission Advancement Specialist, United Way of North Carolina

“Gail brings authenticity and fun as she weaves together ancient and cutting-edge teachings with spiritual, mind-body and emotional growth practices. This was evidenced by the rave reviews she received in a series of workshops launched at the luxury, world renowned 5-star resort, CIVANA Wellness Resort & Spa, where she created and led their first-ever workshops at their new locale in Carefree, AZ. It was obvious that participants loved being in her warm, safe space, where she is able to quickly create rapport and bring connection to diverse groups of people. And, I have manifested so much in my life as a result of the unique way she guided us to create an impactful vison board based on her training in neuroscience and insights on worthiness!” ~ Sharon Spector, MS, transformational life coach
